Im sure that all of you have faced such a problem as spam attacks. And you certainly know how unpleasant, disturbing and annoying this could be. Of course, there are some methods of fighting with this such as moderation or captcha. But they are not always effective. That is why developers have found an absolutely new solution. They have developed a function due to which it is possible to block a user if you know his IP address.
How does it work? Lets see. First of all, move to the “Records” menu, find a record added by the user and press the “View” button. Then find “In details” link in the opened window; click on it and the “Block this IP” option will appear. Click on it and the needed IP address will be banned. As a result, you will not receive spam from this address any more.
In case you have made a mistake by blocking this or that IP address it can be corrected. For this purpose go over to the “Customize and Embed” menu of your own project, move to the “Web forms” tab in the opened window and choose the “Security” option. The last action here is to click on the “Moderation” option. You will see the banned records at once as they will be coloured. Now choose the needed user and unblock him. Thats all you have to do.
Carry out these simple actions and your database will be protected from spam messages. But in any case do not forget to use all possibilities including moderation and captcha to guarantee the safety of your database.
